Art Alert organises art related events and activities at popular and accessible venues to bring together local artists, community groups and the general public.

The project is to organise four events to achieve its aims in 2009 and also participate in art related community events where possible.

March 8 - "International Young Women's Day 2009"
Organised by: Youth and Community Dept WCC
Venue: Hatters Space, Abbey Green, Nuneaton
Target Group: Young Women 13-19 years
Event: Art Alert will provide an interactive workshop

July 4 - "Riversley Park Festival 2009"
Organised by: Art Alert in conjunction with the Parks Department
Venue: Riversley Park, Marquee/stalls
Target Group: Families and young people
Event: An open interactive art event on the theme of recycling, using found materials, including a walking Arts Trail of Nuneaton Town Centre to take in public art and visiting local businesses who are hosting art exhibitions.

September 23 to 26 - "Art Alert 2009"
Organised by: Art Alert
Venue: Rope Walk, Nuneaton
Target Group: Local Artists, Schools, diverse groups , art groups and general public
Event: An open four day exhibition with demonstrations and workshops

October 10 - "The Big Draw 2009"
Organised by: Art Alert in conjunction with the National Campaign for Drawing
Venue: Rope Walk
Target Group: Families, Young People, local Schools and Colleges and general public
Event: An interactive, inclusive event to promote drawing for all - primarily a fun event.

Art Alert were awarded £5,000 from the Community Plan Fund 2008.
