The Burma star is an organisation set up to support veterans of Burma and their next of kin. It operates monthly meetings, organises trips and operates a visiting service for bereaved partners for up to 2 years. This is run solely by ex servicemen with elderly people in the local communities.

Members ages range from 83-92 years old. The group only work twelve months in advance. The Burma Star Association ceases when the last man standing passes on, as only holders of the Burma Star medal can join.

The project is to run trips out and social events, to keep members and their friends together, visit the sick and infirm and help with any of their needs.

Our meetings take place on 1st, 3rd Wednesday of each month at Coton Conservative Club.

The Burma Star Association (Nuneaton Branch) received £1,500 from the Community Plan Fund 2008.
