The group provide help and support to families in Nuneaton and Bedworth who are affected by Autism, i.e. information, guidance, friendship, activities etc. Represent the views, concerns and interests of parents of children with autism and improve services locally.

The Community Plan Project will tackle inequalities for our children with leisure and play activities by offering aqua fit play sessions and games for physical activities to help reduce obesity levels of many of our children, and tackle inequalities for our children in accessing suitable play and leisure activities.

Encourage healthier living and lifestyles through food, nutrition and cooking skills for parents - encouraging use of fresh produce, info on portion sizes and tackling allergies, food intolerances and food sensitivities.

Help combat mental health issues caused by stress (for parents) offering yoga and mediation sessions.

These will take place at Hatters Space Community Centre, Etone School and Bedworth Leisure Centre.

Action for Autism were awarded £1,270 from the Community Plan Fund 2008.
