Boxing Clever provides an alternative education, through physical sport and activities, to young people who are at risk of social and educational exclusion. It creates an opportunity for learners to achieve personal and social development, improve confidence, self esteem and achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

The Community Plan project will deliver ASDAN accredited training to hard to reach young people, who have been or are at risk of exclusion from School. They will be engaged in a variety of non contact boxing based activities which will instil improvement in discipline, social development, confidence, self esteem and lead to a qualification.

Young people will be transported from school to the Nuneaton Community Club for Young People, where the programme will be delivered by fully trained and accredited coaches (male and female).

The Boxing Clever Academy received £4,870 from the Community Plan Fund 2008.
