Nuneaton Credit Union has continued to grow, in terms of membership, savings invested and loans granted. Expansion in the immediate future includes: opening Collection Points/Schools Savings Banks in 2 more local schools.

The Community Plan Project ‘Tackling the Credit Crunch Head on' is to fund a temporary, part time paid worker to run the credit union assisted by the volunteers. Managing and running the credit union has become increasingly complex and professionally demanding. It is no longer possible to maintain the service, let alone further expand it, using volunteers only.

The Nuneaton Credit Union received £4,500 from the Community Plan Fund 2008.
